Angie Senger's Personal Story

Angie grew up in Minnesota's Twin Cities in a very large family. She’s been performing her whole life. Her older brothers taught her to play guitar when she was in elementary school and her older sisters entered her in singing contests. She sang at a wedding for the first time at age 14, which she continues to do today! She also joined a band for the first time at age 14, playing bass guitar, which is still her first love. Soon they were a full-time band playing six nights a week with contracts stretching as far as she could see.

When Senger married her late husband, a truck-driving Minnesota man, he came with three daughters. Deciding to devote her time to her new family, her professional music career was put on hold. But music was never far away! She started the first ‘Guitar Mass’ at her church and was very involved in all aspects of music ministry. She also taught guitar privately and through the community education department at the local school district.

For the last 20 years she’s been playing bass guitar with her band in Minnesota, and rhythm guitar in her Arizona band. In this short span of time she has:

  • Recorded 15 studio CDs, in 6 different professional studios – Minnesota and Arizona! Two of her CDs have won national awards.

  • Appeared several times in BRANSON - by special invitation! She was asked to join the LEGENDS SHOW in Branson for a 12-week run!

  • Been inducted into the National Country Music Hall of Fame and the Arizona Country Music Hall of Fame, where she currently holds a position on the Board of Directors.
